Dr. Promod Vohra is a dynamic individual with demonstrable executive leadership and management qualities. He brings 40 years of experience in academia and the corporate sector senior level positions. Promod Vohra is currently the Chief Talent Strategy Officer for ACS Group of companies. Prior to joining the ACS Group team, Promod was the Dean of the College of Engineering and Engineering Technology (CEET) at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, IL. As the Dean of CEET, Promod oversaw unique curricular programs and responded to the needs of regional and industrial partners. He also built a corporate partnership network which impacted student readiness, scholarships, funding, lab development, joint research endeavors, curricular partnerships, and innovation.
Dr. Vohra has always considered workforce development and training to be an essential part of any economic activity. With this view, during his tenure as a dean, he launched many programs to make sure that higher education becomes affordable and accessible and leads to meaningful and productive careers. His current interests include global mobility, diversity in STEM careers, support of underprivileged women for careers in Science and Technology, and Future of IT. He serves on the Board of Directors for Lumity Foundation and Japan America Society of Chicago.
