Dr. Promod Vohra, pioneering academic trailblazer and co-founder of SchoolnBeyond, transformed the College of Engineering and Engineering Technology at Northern Illinois University during his 12-year tenure as Dean. Under his leadership, the college achieved regional excellence and national recognition, forging over 300 corporate partnerships that led to near-total job placement for graduates.

Vinita Ahuja, dedicated education professional and co-founder of SchoolnBeyond, brings nearly four decades of experience guiding students to prestigious universities worldwide—including UCLA, UC Berkeley, Imperial College, LSE, Cambridge, and Oxford. Known for fostering trust, clear communication, and academic growth, she holds certifications from UCLA and the British Council and maintains active NACAC membership to ensure evidence-based guidance.
Vinita’s passion for empowerment drives her advocacy for students and families, especially those from under-resourced backgrounds. Her leadership strengthens SchoolnBeyond’s mission of making high-quality college counselling accessible worldwide, helping every student achieve their academic and personal potential. Megan Palos has devoted her career to supporting students, most recently serving as a college counselor at a top-ranked U.S. high school. With 10 years of experience in college advising, she has extensive knowledge of U.S. college and university admissions, as well as the steps students can take to plan effectively and prepare for the application process.
Megan is passionate about helping students discover their best educational fit – academically, socially, and financially – and enjoys guiding them toward opportunities that truly excite them. She earned a BA in Spanish and an MA in Education from the University of Michigan.
Outside of work, Megan loves to go on adventures, explore new languages and recipes, and hike with her family. That’s the part Admission Officers never forget.
Carole Bird has more than 15 years of experience guiding students through the college admissions process. Currently based in Connecticut and working at a private day school, Carole previously lived in Hong Kong for over a decade, where she supported international students navigating U.S. and global university admissions.
Families turn to Carole for her deep knowledge of U.S. colleges and her personalised, empathetic approach. She takes time to have meaningful conversations with students – whether challenging them to define success or supporting them through difficult moments – helping each one tell their unique story in a compelling way.
